Oskar Prebanić is a visual artist and educator who lives in Sarajevo, where he has worked for many years as a professor of fine arts at the first gymnasium. He is a teacher whose enthusiasm, original approaches to teaching, broad interests, and a critical attitude to the learning process have received a response from several generations of students. He is interested in various styles and disciplines of art: apart from drawing, music and literature he is also interested in hiking, speleology and martial arts.

He is the founding member of AMBROSIA - a non-profit (non-commercial) cultural (art) association, founded in Sarajevo in February 1995 through an encounter of seven people who recognized mutually supplementary aesthetics and world views (Weltanschaung).
