Vladimír Vimr (born 1954) is a graphic designer, painter, typographer and illustrator who studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague with prof. Milan Hegar. He initially devoted himself to painting, installations and plastics, but is currently concentrating on the graphic design of books. He has edited books by Petr Nikl, for example a monograph dedicated to photography and film. The author is convinced that graphic art is an applied art, and should serve the book.
