Zuzana Füsterová (born 1961) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the mid-1990s. She created her first works while she was studying there. These consisted of illuminated objects which experimented with light and dark. The basis was formed by ingeniously designed light boxes that the artist exhibited in complete darkness, the box being made up of a black glass layer that was covered in letters or hermetic symbols.

She created paintings starting in 2001. These are images that are created through a long process of the application of colours in several (sometimes up to ten) layers. 

The work of painter and conceptual artist Zuzana Füsterová stems from her archetypal experiences. She develops her spiritual search through various artistic means.
